Life can be hard and challenging, and it becomes more difficult if you don’t know what you want to do and where you want to go.
I’ve heard it too often from friends, and sometimes even from my own voice – that pondering question which asks if there’s something more to life than just living it.
You can call it a quarter-life crisis, I certainly call it that.
And when it hits me or any of my friends, I discovered that having an optimistic attitude towards life is just the beginning and one of the many things we can do to overcome it.
That’s why for today, I’m sharing with you this TED Talk by Mark Bezos as he narrates one of the life lessons he learned while working as a volunteer firefighter in his town.
I hope you enjoy watching this short 4-minute video:
One of the best lines that Mark said above was, “If you have something to give, give it now.”
That’s your cure for quarter-life crisis and probably the best way to handle depression in my belief – Go out of yourself and help others.
Know that whatever act of grace, courage and generosity that you do as an individual matter and as Mark aptly puts it: “Don’t wait until you make your first million to make a difference in somebody’s life.”
